Our world’s air quality has turned dangerous and toxic. Young lungs are better equipped to withstand the worst of the effects - and so it is that four teenagers find themselves full-time grocery store staff, with no school to attend and child labor laws tweaked to keep the supply chain moving. Emily, Sharise, Vic, and Curt are all shy of 18 and at the disposal of Boyes Grocery Story chain - while Mel, their hapless store manager, suddenly finds himself akin to a babysitter. Despite Boyes’ Corporate desperate commitment to profit, these teenagers manage to keep a desperate commitment to being 16.
